"Hello, Hooray" ~ Alice Cooper

Alice with Pamela Des Barres, another hero of mine.

His alter ego's stagename turned out to be fairly appropriate;
Named after a Ouija board session with the original Alice Cooper, a 17th century witch, he has spent much of his career resisting a constant torch-burning procession of 'mothers of prevention' trying to hound him offstage.
The softly spoken godfather of Shock Rock is known for among other things biting the head off a live chicken (myth), hanging himself on stage, his penchant for golf, and an extensive knowledge of the history of Milwaulkee (Wayne's World cameo).
An alcoholic in recovery he has extended his support to his own support acts to help them steer themselves away from drink and drug abuse.
He's a conundrum, he's a freak, he's a hero.
And this song is a rousing anthem for all the freaks and oddballs he drags along in his wake, chanting 'we are not worthy'.
It tells you- be who you want to be, wear leather and studs, hang out with constrictors, drink blood from a chicken's neck [Alice didn't do it but fuck it- do it anyway!]... and don't let anybody tell you that it's not ok!

Alice Cooper currently presents a weekly show on Planet Rock Radio, and believes that the secret to a long and happy marriage is to make sure to continue going on dates.
